About the Author

I know a lot of writers. I hope I can get them to participate. I know they heavily edit what they say to match their audience. Here you don't have to do that. Say what you really want in the way you really want to say it. Add a link to your blog, put in tons of pictures, whatever you need to do.

Finding that this is not as easy to write up as one might think.

I guess I have more desire and passion in telling a store than selling one. About you means just that = selling yourself.

You should get it done. Finally got around to mine over the weekend. It pretty much sucks, but it was better than not having anything.

I'll probably change it every week. :D :D

It sucks trying to write one. It almost feels like you are bragging, but you don't want to. You want to put out the facts, but that almost makes you egotistic. I hate it and I know mine will change again and again.

I'm my own worse critic, otherwise I would write 3 times as much as I do now.

Cory, it is bragging and it is somewhat egotistical. But you can't have a blog, or a forum, or a website, or do guiding, or hold fishing classes and not have some of both those qualities. It's a matter of how you present yourself and come across.

I have no clue what people think of what I say anymore. I just keep saying it. I've been accused of both, but I don't think of it that way. I just give out information.

I know Dale thinks I'm snarky, Ed says verbose, I've heard opinionated son of a bitch, asshole, you name it. Dale has come up with all kinds of words for me in his intro's to my reports. I think it's all pretty funny.

Get it done. You have to have one. Here's one on a blog that I like. Is it bragging, ego, or just the way it is.

With the dog passing away this weekend it was hard to write it up.

But I did.

Looking at traffic on the site I noticed that people went to the author page to see construction. That is annoying to me, so it must be annoying to them.

It has story style sense to it, but that is ok. I don't have a resume for fishing.

On a side note the page has a new look. I like it. But is open to change. I need to figure out how to change the back ground picture however.

Thanks Ed. Does this mean I'm going to become OCD about driving traffic to my blog? Oh god, there was drop in views, what AM I going to do??!!???

Travis, I like the theme. Backgrounds are tricky, easy to replace, but hard to control. You don't want them overpowering the content. Which that picture does.

Go to your theme folder, images folder and you should find that background shot. Open it and write down the name and size. Make your own background the exact same size and give it the exact same name. Replace it in the folders and your background will pop right into place.

If you get it wrong, we'll let you know. :D :D
