5/26/10 Big Rock Creek

Post by Ken G »

7 smallies and just as many missed as the fish continue to swipe at things to make them go away, a couple of largemouth that thought they were smallies since they were in the creek, some hybrid looking bluegill thing, a bluegill and a green sunfish. The last two came from an attached pond that probably would have produced better if it weren't already a mess with weeds.

When I got to the creek, six kids were floating down it in innertubes. An hour later a couple of guys come by in kayaks. Every year when the water is up I'm running into canoes and kayaks floating down this creek. So as far as I'm concerned the federal definition of navigable waters is proven beyond a doubt. I was going to cut and paste a section, but for those of us fishing small waters, it's worth reading through the whole link again.
