I plan on taking the kid in search of fossils. Never been to the mazon, where can I get access.

Whitetie road, only I don't know how to tell you what to look for. You'll see the river as you drive east, I come from Route 47.

Last time I was there, found a handful of fossils. All ferns. Kind of cool.

Ferns and Trilobites are pretty common.

Travis, The spot I park is close to good fossil hunting. I'll post a map or something...

Cool thanks. We are also planning a trip the Field Museum for the same reason. She picked up a book on stones and fossils and keeps bringing it up. It'll be a fun trip for the family to get in the water and search some out.

Didn't get out on Sunday. My day ending up being consumed by a couple of corroded shut off valves on my newly installed water heater. Hired help is hard to rely on apparently.

Taking the kid fishing in Saturday near coal city. Hopefully we'll find the time.
