Da Fox and Mill Creek

Post by GreatfulDad »

Hey guys...

Been lax about checking in. Been having weird results on Mill Creek. Way high water of course and spooky wading even though I know the water pretty well. Did well at the bridge with water up past my waist on jig and twister in pumpkin seed the first day, since then it's been different colors and the fish move around alot.

Been watching the Fox fall daily and have been catching some nice ones along the bank on small twisters with yellow being the color that works best. Waiting to see if the caddis hatch still happens...figures the bugs are in the Gulf of Mexico!

Looking for someone to head to the Apple River with.

Not looking good for road trips this year. Don't think I've been to the Apple in a couple of years.

Creek results have been odd. One full of fish right across the Fox from me. Two others have been barren for me so far. Makes no sense and I have nothing to compare it to.

Glad to see you're still getting out there. Has the new owner along Mill Creek given you a hard time yet? He shagged me out a couple of years ago and I've been hearing the same from others.
