Inlets

Post by ThunderStick »

I'm sure you guys already know this but thought I'd mention just in case. Inlets after a rain can be magic. Last Friday night I caught 40 sizable crappie (8-12") fishing the inlet in my pond. Some pipes in the area are still pumping nicely after the crazy rains we recently received. I was tossing a 1/80 oz hairjig under a float. Normally I'll pick up a lot of big bass but they werent around. I have some suspisions about that, we shall see.....

I've got to get to my secret ponds. Sent someone there recently and he got skunked. I've never been skunked there. He went after that flooding rain and these ponds are in a low spot. They might have all gone into the ravine. That would suck.
