I can't help but read that word as Crappy, not Crappie.

Hey Mike.

Twelve or more years ago I walked around a lot of the Mazonia ponds. Always planned on getting a tube to hit those ponds, but the Fox River got in the way. Did drag a 10 foot jon boat and trolling motor out there a few times. Amazing how much water is out there that hardly anyone hits.

Search on Norms reports, the Kankakee River god. I think he fishes too much. He'd be more than happy to give you some tips. Never be afraid to ask questions. We tar and feather those that have a problem with that.

Ed Mullady calls them Croppie. He can't bring himself to call such a beautiful fish Crappie.

I just went out there sunday,
My uncle has a home in Momence, just a mile from the south shore golf course.
Caught one large mouth, about 2 pounds.
flopped out of my hand before I could get a pic,
was a beautiful day.
just a little hot.
caught him on a yum, 5" green with red flakes.
on a 2 ought keeper hook weighted.

very relaxing.
wish I could have caught more.
but only two bites that day.

Summer doldrums, even the fish get them.

I like September, October if the weather cooperates. August I barely tolerate.
