Thorn Creek 6/11/12

Some like it, some don't. If you're fishing its major tributary, Salt Creek, leave those posts here.

Thorn Creek 6/11/12

Still not sure if this should be in the DesPlaines Trib section or not. But anyway, Muddy, low visibility, and smells real bad. I spent about 30 minutes working along one bank and after scaring the shit out of myself when my foot started to get stuck, I decided to call it quits. Went over to the adjoining Wampum Lake and waded. Caught two nice sized largemouth when the CCFPD cop informed me that wading wasn't allowed. My fault that I didn't see the posting, but to be fair it wasn't posted with the other fishing regs and creel limits, etc. Luckily he just wanted me to show him my license and he sent me on my way.

It seemed like the entire creek bed was made of mud. Deep, smelly, mud. Maybe just the stretch that I was in, but it was awful.
