Gills are on beds

Throw in the ponds and lakes in some of the parks and it's some pretty good water.

Saw them on beds in a pond near work in northern Will County on Thursday last week.

The bass should be going nuts on topwaters by now, anyone been trying spooks and sammys?

My buddy has been throwing buzzbaits (Honeybuzz) in local ponds for the last couple weeks and doing good. Seemed a bit early but what do I know.

The gills are going nuts on the beds right now and the bass are definitely back to hitting stuff on top.

Got my first bass on a popper yesterday afternoon.
