Spring Turkey

I try my hand at everything and try to write something about the adventures. Successful or failed.

I'm ok knocking on doors. No stranger to rejection and believe it or not I can be rather polite when I want to.

Let me know what you can find out Ken, I can think of a few ways to reciprocate.

I belong to Joliet Archery Club, its off Gouger and St Francis.
indoor 24/7 range, plus field course outdoors.

If our work wasn't such a bs hyper security id bring the gear and go at lunchtime or after work.

But we'll need to go at night or weekend.

if anyone was interested just ask and we could go!

Mondays and Saturdays are the only days I can't make. Pick a day and I'm in. I should talk to Ken this week for some info.

Did you put in an app for a permit?

I should check my own site now and then, shouldn't I.

I walk around Silver Springs archery shooting range all the time. Yesterday was a banner day, found 5 arrows that are still useable. They did a prairie burn. Found over 20 more in areas that are normally 2-3 foot tall prairie grasses. I couldn't believe how far back they were from the targets. Of course, they all were destroyed by the flames.

No reports of turkeys lately, but they're probably nesting and with the early greenery, getting harder to see.

i was at Strictly fishing saturday, saw a new ground blind about 3ft high that was basically reflective.
no matter the surroundings, it reflects back.

very cool, also had slots to launch an arrow.
