Had an Indigo Bunting at our feeder on Mothers Day.
Had to get the ID book to verify.

Very cool been a while since we've seen one.

Time to fill the hummingbird feeder.
Last year we had 2 in the yard. no takers.
Then on the mint plants next to the basketball hoop we had them show up while we were playing.
They could care less we were 5 feet away..
See the world before its gone!

Rob, I had an Indigo Bunting at my feeder last Sunday. Beautiful bird, when the light is hitting it right. Otherwise its kinda drab. That Mother Nature, she's a tricky one.

Went on a bike ride the other day and spotted a Pekin duck mixed in with a group of mallards, as well as a Mallard with a white chest and even tone rear half, in the same group hanging out by the island park in Batavia. I would speculate the off colored mallard may have been a result of the Pekin mating wih a Mallard? Anyone ever seen a Mallard like this?
