Dupage 8/23

Dupage is in good shape and should only continue to get better. I just got back into town and didnt get much time to fish in but wanted to see what the conditions where like. Flow and current are a little higher than normal but not bad at all. Clarity is four feet or better. I wasnt able to fish very long but I was able to pick up 2 small smallmouth and a small largemouth on a watermelon chigger craw and another small smallie on a watermelon helgramite but nothing of any size. The grass is pretty thick and there was alot floating downstream so casting upstream was the only way to avoid a jig full of grass. With no rain in the forecast it should keep getting better and better and its really about time! Looking forward to finally having some actual river reports!
