8/2/09 Lily Cache and the Fox in Montgomery

Post by Ken G »

I thought I would fish from a park on Lily Cache Creek to its mouth where it enters the DuPage. Never did make it to the DuPage. Mud, log jams and I got fed up. Did get a few dink fish. Don't know how they make it past these log jams.

Gave up on the idea of fishing the DuPage altogether and headed to the Fox in Montgomery. The place where I started I've always done well on walleye. I immediately began getting walleye taps on every other cast. Yes, I know the difference. I eventually got to land one. They seemed to like that cool weather we had in July.

After that, nothing much but a few smallies. No big deal really. Just another nice day out on the water. Except for that Lily Cache Creek fiasco.
