Re: Montgomery 10/4 AM

Yeah, but it was an adventure. 8-) Actually the first few times I fished the discharge, I fished strictly from shore and accessed the area from a closer "municipal-type" lot near a home. ;) I've never had a problem parking there (usually off hours and weekends like you said), but this time...

Re: Montgomery 10/4 AM

It was a two piece, and I am a little upset with myself for not taking it apart while I was hiking. Fortunately it was a clearance rack find at BPS. It's a 7' Browning Medallion light action, I think I got it with a cheap browning reel for 30 bux. I don't think I will be able to get a replacement, b...

Montgomery 10/4 AM

Ahhhh..... Felt good to feel that tap.. tap.... YANK! again. It's been all too long, and even though none of these fish are monsters of any kind, this was FUN! Sorry if this post seems like more of a journal entry, but I would like to start recording all my trips this way so I can look back at the i...

Other than the rains we are having putting a little color in the water, I think for the most part the Fox is running real clea...

Re: 9/30 Fox River Oswego - Orchard rd.

Thanks again for the info Ken. Maybe an early morning this weekend so I can beat the sun. That is unless we get dumped on and it's flowing at 1500+. After re-reading some more old posts...... I realize I spent almost the entire time fishing the SOUTH side of the shore at Orchard..... hmmm..... maybe...

9/30 Fox River Oswego - Orchard rd.

Hit the river armed with cranks, plastic tails, jerkbaits, and topwaters from 5pm to 7pm. Saw some tailing carp, but didn't see a single "real" fish. No taps, bumps, hits or even mosquito bites. Thanks for the info on the access point Ken, it was 100% accurate. I had a hard time finding th...
