Mazon River May 4 More Fish Porn
I Fished the Mazon River with my Dad and brother this morning from 5:30am – Noon. The river was at 304 CFS with visibility at about 3 feet, a little dingier than last week. The water has also warmed up significantly over the past week, and we spotted what looked to be some smallmouth fry in some sla...

May 3 On the Hunt for Fungi
It was a beautiful morning and my wife and I decided we would dress up and head into the woods with my 2 1/2 year old daughter on the hunt for an elusive little fungi that goes by the name Morel. We drove to one of our favorite spots and proceeded to wander about through the woods. We couldn't have ...

April 27 Mazon River Late Report
Sorry for the late report, been busy lately. I fished the Mazon River with my Dad and brother this morning from 5:30am – Noon. The river was at 260CFS with 4+ feet of visibility. We fished the stretch further up river from the spillway this time. There’s lots of good water and riffles, pools, and ru...

There ya go Bogie. Pics look good. Pix Resizer is pretty simple, but very effective for adjusting the pic size. Nice fish!

Re: 4/22/10 Fox River
Very easy way to adjust pic size is download a program called PixResizer. When you install it, open it up and take a look at it. It's very simple. Hit Load Picture, make sure "Custom Size" is checked and make sure it says "600 x 450" in there, which I believe it is defaulted to. ...

Re: What type of reel?
Pflueger President 6740X would probably do the trick. It's got a capacity of 175 yards of 12lb test. Very good mid-grade reel. Out of stock at Bass Pro, but you can find them all over. For $60 you can't really go wrong.

Yup, we've fished that area quite a bit, wing dam included. My family is on the south side in Worth/Crestwood, so it's fairly close to us as well.

Mazon River 04/20/2010
I fished the Mazon from 6:00am – 11:00am with my Dad. River was at 174 CFS. The water is lower than normal for spring at this point. Clarity was basically as far as you wanted to see. It was easily at least 3 feet. I could stand waist deep in water and see every detail of the bottom where I was stan...
