So have been hearing about and seeing a lot of 4 to 6 inch bass. It must have been a good year for spawning.. I am guessing three or 4 years ago but in 2007 we had very high water at least in the summer. Any Ideas? I also caught a nice 161/2 smallie on the day of the tournament, wasn't entered and on...

Re: This thread is driving me nuts
I started to reply to that thread ,wrote a bit and deleted it... Just didn't feel like getting slammed. It just goes to show you how everyone has an opinion and the only one that matters is theirs. I have seen a lot of netting down my way as well as buckets of fish taken but I have come to the concl...

Re: On the Kank with Nat and Matt
It is always a plus to be with someone who understands, sometimes the fish just aren't biting where your fishing. I am sure we are in a post spawn funk even though I haven't been out much and I am still not wading. I have fished the Kank once in my life and caught a rock bass , conditions were sprin...

Re: nasty hatch!
My favorite top water walking bait is a Excalibur Jimmy houston bait. Not sure what it is called but I do know they don't make it anymore... Spittin Image comes to mind . I can walk this bait effortlessly on a spin bait rod and reel something I find hard to do with other top water style baits.

Re: Fox River Fishin Musician
Right after I moved out here, I was playing with Eddy Clearwater and he offered me a job to play bass and go to Paris for 3 weeks. 3 days later my New employer The Village of South Elgin offered me an Assistant Superintendent position. Really didn't take much thought , driving to Bellwood 60 miles a...

Re: Fox River Fishin Musician
I actually played the Ric a bit Saturday night it is a cannon but I prefer my Fender Jazz and G&L 2000 American made as far as tone goes. I bought mine for $700.00 37 years ago and have been offered $1500.00. I believe for the shape its in and the New Rick case its worth closer to $2000.00 High ...

Re: Fox River Fishin Musician
The only problem with getting rid of gear is the bite you take in resale .. I would say .30 cents on the dollar. I have 3 2-15 bass cabinets which are collecting dust , medium size pa system .4 basses 3 guitars yamaha os9 88 key synth / piano well you get the picture. My 2 sons play guitar and bass ...
