Dupage 8/27 & 8/28

Hit the Dupage in Bolingbrook again after work yesterday with a friend to get him hooked on river fishing. River is is the best shape I have seen in quite awhile. Its a little higher than normal but very clear. I didnt have a thermomater with me but it seems to be cooling off quite a bit too. Grass ...

Dupage 8/25 Bolingbrook

Hit a new stretch of river I have been meaning to put more time into learning today. Fished just downriver of the confluence of the east and west branches today. This is a stretch I will definitely be fishing more. Its alot closer than driving down to Plainfield, Shorewood, or Channahon and it has s...

Dupage 8/23

Dupage is in good shape and should only continue to get better. I just got back into town and didnt get much time to fish in but wanted to see what the conditions where like. Flow and current are a little higher than normal but not bad at all. Clarity is four feet or better. I wasnt able to fish ver...

Re: Mazon River Spillway Vandals

I had it included in my Dupage report to Dale this week (or lack thereof) but thought the same thing and took it out.

Re: need a little help please

If saw wee kee park is the one right at downtown Oswego I love fishing that stretch. I have always had great luck there and caught some really nice fish through there. I usually start by fishing the rock wall across from the park then head upstream. If the level ever drops I would like get back out ...

Re: Mazon River Spillway Vandals

I called this morning but need to file in person. I am going to try to make it there this week before I head out of town on Thursday. I wish I would have done it right away but really wasnt sure what the deal was. Hopefully by letting the sheriff know this wont happen to anyone else. Ken warned me a...

Mazon River Spillway Vandals

Fished the Mazon this morning getting on the water around 6am; parked on White Tie Rd on the river side right next to the trail leading to the spillway (which as far as I know has no "No Trespassing". I got done fishing and came back to my car about noon to find a flat tire. I couldn't fin...

This Weekend

It has been awfully quite around here so does anyone have plans to make it out this weekend?? I have been praying for the rain to hold off all week and so far so good ( but I probably just jinxed it). I really miss fishing the Dupage and if the weather holds it should be in great shape this weekend ...

Re: Mazon, Vermilion, or Mackinaw

Went back on Sunday and had a pretty good day. 3 more quality fish and one very nice one that broke off all on topwater too. It has been a long time since I have fished topwater and it is as exciting as I remember. I made a mistake I have been trying to get away from which is forgeting to set my dra...

Re: Mazon, Vermilion, or Mackinaw

SInce the Dupage is high yet again I went to Mathessien State Park today with a friend. We didnt get out there until around 1pm and fished roughly to 5pm. Rough day due to a really late night, being dehydrated and forgeting the water in the car; it was HOT in that canyon. We each managed around a do...
