Dupage 4/4
Well I was able to make my first trip to the river for a few hours today and I have to say it felt good to be back out on the water. I almost forgot how calming it is being out hearing nothing but rushing water, wind, and fish splashing! I fished a short stretch of river down river from the Sheply R...

It is me; I didnt realize Dale has been running that. I sent him an email a few weeks ago that I was determined to get out more this year. With this job I started last September I have more flexibility than I have had in a few years; alot or work but I can chose when and where I work. Plus my office...

Re: Rickles (Rick) checking in...
Mazon is a great river and alot of fun with some big smallies; I did a stretch from the town of Mazon starting off on one of the smaller branches and floating down to Pine Bluff. The problem was the float was too long for one day; about 15 river miles. It really should have been broker into 2 days t...

As Ken mentioned I am one of the guys who has been very busy with work and family but since I'm back to 100% commission and I can makemore of my own hours again I'm going to try to make it a poin...

Re: Mazon River
To be honest not sure how big a drift boat is. It's pretty shallow skinny water in the few spots I've waded. This will be my first time kayaking itGreatfulDad wrote:Is it big enough to hold a drift boat?

Re: Blanked 4/22/12 AM
Managed to get out and fish a stretch I have never fished before and that's sad because its literally about 3 minutes from my house. I fished the section from the dam in Channahon to about 500 yds downstream. There is some pretty good looking water through there but didn't catch a thing. Threw a bun...
