I got mudders you could have used!
Size 12 but keeps feet and ankles dry and mud free!

go back on Friday when the river drops.
The creek will hold water and continue to hold fish like a rest stop!

#1 go at sunup, fish topwater baits until about 9am. hit the rocky shorelines. get the bait within a foot of shore before you work it back. skitter pop, chugbug, popr, anything shad collored. #2 After 9/10am, try a 4-5" twin tail grub on a 3/8 jig standup , rootbeer or dark green colored. same ...

im off Friday.
Illinois river is about 10 ft above where i like it, by Friday it wont be down yet.
Peak is wednesday/thursday.

want to splash the boat but dont know where yet..

make sure your flyline is clean and very slick. Use that cleaner that gives a slippery surface, i cant remember the name of the cleaner i use. A slick coating helps on pick up off the ground & rocks. or hold big alternate loops while stripping. That way when you cast back out its not in a small ...
