Re: Aux Sable 4/17

I believe the state record rock bass has come out of that stretch. I think it's rock bass. Always wanted to try there. I'll save you some trouble, don't bother around Route 52. Fished it last year? The bottom is pretty much all sand and mud. Could barely find any rock/gravel. You would think it wou...

Aux Sable 4/17

Not sure where to put this so here it is I decided to try fishing a stretch of the Aux Sable Creek from the I&M Canal all the way down to the Illinois River instead of the Dupage. Its a great looking creek and I didn't do too bad. I ended up going 6 for 8 on the smallies and picked up a bonus wh...

Dupage 4/6/11

I headed to the river in Plainfield yesterday for about two hours. Since the water temps are still pretty cold I stuck with what has been very productive for me; drifting medium roaches. I was fishing a long flat about four to five feet deep mid river. I managed to pick up five very nice smallies; a...

Re: Dupage Report 3/18 & 3/19

Rebel craws are hands down my most productive bait on the Duper. I've had 40 fish days out there with those wonderful baits. Makes a lot of sense. That river is LOADED with crawdads. It's hard not to step on them in some areas. Good job. How were the water temps? Still frigid? Yeah the water is sti...

Should have gone east.

Nice report Frank.
Ken if you are ever headed to the Dupage and want someone to fish with you give me a call. It turned out to be a great weekend!

Dupage Report 3/18 & 3/19

Well this season started off great for me! I got out all day Friday and Saturday afternoon. Friday was cloudy windy and cold; Saturday was a beautiful afternoon. Water clarity is pretty good with most sections at 3-4 ft. Levels are perfect for wading (prior to todays rain). Friday started off with m...

Re: What Waders and Boots to Buy - Suggestions

I have been using the white river breathables from bass pro. When they start leaking I bring them back and they exchange them for new ones with no problems. I have been going through 2 pair each year and I just exchanged my leaking waders from last year yesterday. Their customer service is great and...
