Re: About 45 minutes of fishing

Waubonsee was completely choked with river redhorse. In the library pool I was snagging them every cast for 30 minutes. They fight better than walleye, but not much.

Re: Nick and Ed hit the Fox

Both you and that smallie have the tough guy pose down pat. ;)

I love it when those smallies tense up and flare like that.

Great wade Sunday, hope I get a chance to do it again before next Spring.

Re: East, West and Main Branch DuPage Rivers

I fished 1 mile of the Dupage river last year.

My goal was 20.

I suck. With my 2nd job keeping me out of the house from 5am to 10pm every day I doubt I'll have time for any serious wading anywhere this year... poor me.

Re: Fuckin' A

My house was surrounded on 3 sides by standing water on Thursday. Also lost a small chunk of roof. Got water in the basement in two spots. Cripes! I drive past your house every day to/from work Paul. I half expected to see your house floating Friday. Glad to see you and your family did not float aw...

DuPage River in Shorewood

Saw the flows on the USGS site just now had the Shorewood gauge reading 12k cfs.

Once the clarity returns, I think I'll stick to Lake Michigan the rest of the year.

Wise old man indeed

So I'm looking at April's schedule, looks like I have one day to fish a bit. It will probably need to be an early morning or late evening excursion. Then I look at the Montgomery gauge... 4,625... fuck. It's going to be like that all Spring isn't it? So I ask myself, "Self, where does Ken fish ...

Re: Throw that Creek Switch

Oh I know that smell. Musty, like sweat and warm pond water.

What goes up the creeks to spawn first? Suckers?

I wandered around a bit more of Oswego not too long ago and followed Waubonsie creek for a ways. Couple spots looked fishy.
