The clear coat is bubbling.

The rod has gotten wet over the years, rain, but no soft spots or compromised blanks or sustained humidity just 90-100 degree heat during the summer months.

It appears that the finish on my St Croix med/heavy rod is bubbling. What the hell is happening and is it possible to fix it?

Fish are too stressed from the drought. We did have a limited fish kill but didnt lose too many bass as far as I can tell. At one point the pond receded a good 10 feet from its normal shoreline. Sorry for your loss Ken. It sucks losing someone, especially someone who's time has come too soon. Still smarting over the death of my friend in April. She was 45 and left 2 young kids and husband behind. Makes you wanna say WTF!!?!
