That's a really good question- I'm curious too! The more I learn about trout the more their spawning habits appear similar to me, although I might be totally wrong. From what I've read, trout live in the big water but come up streams to spawn... Some of those trout stay there in the streams, some go...

Great to finally meet you Ken, glad you happened to pick the same spot we did yesterday. It's incredibly useful to a newbie like me to see the river this low- not only does it help me understand what's underneath the water in certain sections, it helps me understand what's under the water in any riv...

[also posted this on WCF...] Claire and I got out around sunrise yesterday, fished a bunch. Third cast she hooks into some rocks, then they move, bends her rod almost in half!
