  • Writers Block
I know a lot of writers. I hope I can get them to participate. I know they heavily edit what they say to match their audience. Here you don't have to do that. Say what you really want in the way you really want to say it. Add a link to your blog, put in tons of pictures, whatever you need to do.

  • I'ma goin' fishin' . . .
That's what this one is about. If you're planning on fishing and want company, put that here. If the fish talk you have to say doesn't fit anywhere else, that can go here too.

  • Can't you talk about anything else?
And you can do that here. Off fishing topic and off the wall subjects and plain bitch sessions. Sometimes you just need to have an outlet. Only registered users can see this forum.

  • Conservation Issues and Supporting Local Farmers
To me the two go hand in hand. If we don't protect it today, we won't have it around tomorrow. There's a lot of help needed and issues that need attention. And why go to a grocery store when you can go right to the source.

  • River Fishing Access, Preservation and Rights – Links to Info
If you don't know how to access many of the rivers in northern Illinois, it means you've been looking in all the wrong places or haven't been looking at all. While you're at it, learn a little about your access rights and how to preserve the rivers you explore.

  • Time to Take Back Illinois Rivers and Streams
Federal Law is quite clear on where you can or cannot go on rivers and streams throughout the U.S. Problem is, few are abiding by the law. Illinois isn't one of them. It's time to start changing that.

Is the water too high, too low or just right. Before heading out to fish your favorite flowing water, know what you're up against. Might save you some time or help you decide where to go.

East and West Branches plus the main stem, not much to look at sometimes, but an astonishing fishery.

I fished the North and South Branches and did well. I just don't get back there anymore.
